Tamia ✻ Inga Beaded Earrings

These round earrings are hand beaded by Inga Awaska, a beading and cultural workshop made up of Indigenous Inga Women in Putumayo, Colombia.

The shape of these earrings reminds me of a rain drop--the word Tamia translates to "lluvia" or "rain" in the Inga language! The symbol at the top is called Uigsa Warmi, meaning the womb of a woman.
