Holi ✻ Emberá Beaded Bracelet

Handmade by Emberá Chamí artisans Jesús and Guillermina, who reside  in Medellín, Antioquia! 

Each bracelet is woven using different types of techniques like wooden looms, threaded needles, or some are even hand-strung. Each bracelet can take anywhere from 2-3 days to make. 

Each color, shape, and symbol is an inside look into their day-to-day life, spiritual world, and environment

Here's a quick guide on some of the symbolism used:

💠 Diamond shapes signify the 4 seasons

⭕ Circles mean unity, community, gathering

☁️ White reflects clouds and peace

🌊 Blue represents rivers, oceans, and the sky

🤎 Brown signifies the earth

and so forth!
